Iv been building quite a yoga portrait portfolio since I finished my Teacher training last year, here is the most recent shoot I have done with the beautiful and extremely powerful Kathy Lewis. Kathy is lucky enough to live on a stunning house boat on the Thames in London. We made these pics on the deck of her boat at sunset one balmy summer eve, seems like an age away now – its 6pm and already getting dark….although i am up in Orkney where the nights are fairly drawing in
Iv finally had a some time to catch up on a HUGE backlog of editing from some very exciting work that I have shot recently, and it feels good to catch up! This is a sneak peak of an underwater photo shoot I did for an amazing musician/artist, the album is going to be out soon and I cant wait to see the final results!
I traveled up to Manchester to Photograph Rosie and Sean a couple of months before their wedding. We were ready with umbrellas as the forecast was to rain as soon as I arrived in Manchester and stop when I got back on the train (obviously) – but to our delight, the sun came out at the exact right moment…Hurray!
We went a stroll to the St John’s centre in Old Trafford where they are having the reception and then on to a beautiful hidden wild meadow, which was glorious and full of yellow buttercups, by the wedding day I think it will be more like a forest. They were an absolute pleasure to photograph, It was so much fun, and Dexter the dog came with us. I cannot wait to photograph their wedding day, it really sounds like its going to be a dream day!
A long term documentary project I shot in India last year on the issues that cotton farmers are facing was published in the Global development section of the guardian last week – you can have a look at it here – http://www.theguardian.com/global-development/gallery/2014/may/05/india-cotton-suicides-farmer-deaths-gm-seeds
What an awesome weekend in Bristol – we were extremely lucky with the weather, the sun shone fiercely for us and I got some beautiful couple shots of the fabulous Diarmaid and Hannah – considering the night before had been spent down the pub, celebrating Ireland’s victory in the 6 nations final – I think they look pretty darn good! These shots were taken in the very hip area of Montpelier.
